Zenzero Kitchen & Bakery Made My Breakfast Dreams Come True
I’ve wanted to try Zenzero Kitchen & Bakery for about three months now and finally today was the day! I hate it when responsibilities get in the way of my foodie dreams.
I know it’s not an Irving restaurant, but I figured I’d show our sister city some love. Hannah came with me which I loved because we are both foodies, and we like sharing. I don’t know what I’m going to do when Hannah goes off to college in two years. Who will share with me?! Maybe I’ll start a Meetup group of people who like to share food. Is that weird? Or I could always try asking strangers if I can try a bite of their meal. Even weirder? I could just go to college with Hannah. Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! I think that’s the answer.
So on to the food. We ordered the honey butter chicken biscuit topped with an over-medium egg, chopped bacon and honey butter with a side of house-made potatoes. We also ordered a cinnamon roll and coffee. Every single bite of every single thing was just perfection. I’m pretty sure I was doing a happy dance throughout my entire meal. The coffee which is from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters was delicious and was a perfect complement to that cinnamon roll. Guys the cinnamon roll was heaven. The cream cheese icing was not too sweet, and it had just the perfect amount of cinnamon. The only thing that was a little disappointing is that I didn’t take one home for later.
You must give them a try! I cannot wait to go back and try their lunch and dinner! Oh, and of course more of the pastries.
